January 27, 2007: The most stylish and striking concept shown in Detroit was the Mazda Ryuga. A continuation on the theme Mazda introduced at the L.A. Motor Show, the Ryuga was shown with full exterior and interior, and a new variation of the flow theme on the sides of the gull-wing doors. Ryuga is actually Japanese for gracious flow, and it certainly was.
Laurens van den Acker, design division general manager for Mazda Motor Corporation, admits that the Ryuga is not currently a realistic proposal, but it is a concept that hopefully attracts interest in the Mazda brand, and is part of a series of concepts introduced too at the Geneva show and culminating in the highlight at the Tokyo Motor Show.
also a black exige and ferrari 308 not a m5, but a 550i with some mods

January 13, 2008: During the North American International Motor Show (NAIAS) in Detroit, Mazda unveiled the Furai, a supercar designed to bridge the gap between single-purpose racecars and street-legal models. The vehicle, Mazda indicates, was inspired by the Nagare and features the Courage C65 chassis and a 450-horsepower three-rotor rotary engine. The Furai, which means “sound of wind” in Japanese, will also run on 100 percent ethanol that is produced via a partnership with British Petroleum (BP).
December 21, 2007: Mazda Motor Corporation will showcase the world premieres of the Mazda Furai concept vehicle and the heavily revised new Mazda RX-8 sports car at the 2008 North American International Auto Show carnutheaven.com
July 17, 2008: Not only is the Mazda Furai concept visually stunning, but the sound of its 450-horsepower RENESIS-based R20B triple rotary engine is ferocious enough to make the most seasoned professional GT driver weak in the knees.
After a recent leisurely stroll up and down the Goodwood hill, the Furai carried out full blown aggression therapy at Kemble Airfield in the UK. Despite a blown clutch over the weekend, the Furai was back in the saddle on Tuesday and CarTribe.co.uk got it on video.
First unveiled in Detroit earlier this year, the ethanol powered race car adapted from the soul of the Courage C65 LMP-2 chassis in the American Le Mans Series (ALMS), sets out to bridge the gap between the single-purpose racecars and street-legal performance models(supercars).
April 26, 2007: Mazda isn’t really comfortable with the C-word. Oh sure, the company refers to the all-new 2007 Mazda CX-7 as a “crossover” all the time in public. But it doesn’t really think the term is entirely appropriate. Crossing between what and what else, one might ask? Instead it boldly proclaims that the CX-7 is an SUV with the “soul of a sports car.” Check out this Edmunds Inside Line video to find out more….
